Sally Obermeder’s 2-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
Looking for a quick and easy dessert that is sugar-free, dairy-free and sure to satisfy those sweet cravings? This delicious 2-minute wonder may just be your answer.
Ingredients
- 1tbs coconut oil, melted
- 2 tbs honey, or maple syrup
- 1 egg (free-range, organic)
- 2 tbs unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tbs plain (all-purpose) flour, or almond meal
- 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder, plus 1/2 tsp extra
- 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped

Method
Step 1.
In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the wet ingredients. Add the dry ingredients and mix again.
Step 2.
Pop the mug into the microwave for around 1-1.5 minutes (depending on the power of your microwave).
Serve 3.
Serve with a dusting of extra cocoa powder and your favourite nut spread.
Serves 1
TIP: Make this mug cake immediately before serving as it’s best enjoyed warm. |
