Luke Hines’ Golden Chai
Made with a combination of turmeric and almond milk – and a source of good fats – this Ayurvedic drink is a warming, free-radical fighting start to your day.
Ingredients
- 300 ml (1 ¼ cups) vanilla almond milk
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ vanilla pod, split and seeds scraped
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Pinch of ground cloves
- Pinch of ground cardamom
- 1 tsp bee pollen to serve (optional)
|
Method
Step 1.
Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the almond milk and, as it begins to warm, whisk in the remaining ingredients, except the bee pollen, until well combined.
Step 2.
Continue to heat, whisking gently, until nice and hot, then pour into a cup or glass and sprinkle over the bee pollen to serve.
