How to perfect a pink statement lip this party season

The House of Wellness beauty expert Jade Kisnorbo demonstrates how to nail a stunning bright pink lip ahead of the summer party season.

With the holiday season upon us and end of year celebrations in full swing, it’s the perfect excuse to get experimental with your make-up by trying a loud, bright pink lip.

From pastel hues to neon fuchsia, there’s a pink-hued lipstick out there for everyone and according to Jade, achieving a crisp finish lies all in the technique.

Step 1

Starting from the middle of the lip, apply your bold lip colour of choice and blend outwards. Jade is using Revlon’s Colorstay Crayon in ‘Lift Off’.

Step 2

Here’s a pro tip from Jade: you can perfect and sharpen the edges of the lip with the use of concealer.

Using a small make-up brush, go over the perimeter of the lip to clean the lip line and give a crisp finish.

Step 3

To enhance the look, don’t overlook the eyes.

Curl lashes and generously apply a few coats of mascara.

Be sure to allow the lashes to dry in between layers otherwise it can weigh down your eyes.

Step 4

To finish, add further volume to the eyes with the aid of false lashes.
